Hassan Ali

With his ODI debut in 2016, Hasan Ali hit the international cricketing scene with a bang, gaining national admiration for his smooth plays and his much-imitated victory stance.

Having begun his rise in career at the age of 19, Ali’s skills and hard work has had a marked impact on Pakistani cricket. His bowling stats paint an outstanding picture of this star athlete, with 57 wickets in Test matches, 83 in ODIs and 48 in T20Is under his belt. His bowling average amounts to 22.05 in Tests and 29.60 in ODIs.

A right arm medium-fast bowler, Ali is known to rely on a simple bowling action, and variations instead of merely a raw pace- the latter of which is a rare output from Pakistan. His first moment of fame came in Pakistan’s limited over’s leg in England where he played four ODIs and a T20I against Ireland during a singular 2016 tour. His notable talent enabled him to grab two fifers in his first 15 ODIs, and he has consistently amazed audiences and critics alike with his tight lines on his Test debut in 2017 where Pakistan won last-gasp in Dominica. He was also awarded “Man of the Tournament” in the 2017 Champions Trophy.

As a batsman, Hasan Ali goes for a right-handed batting style. To note his fielding and batting average, he has a 14.60 in Tests, 11.00 in T20s and 15.60 in ODIs.

A tenacious cricketer, Ali is known to wreck the opposing team’s plans with his exceptional talent and infectious spirit, showing everyone what it is to have a true thirst for the game.
